CASE STUDY: Reminders Set in Plain Language, From Inside Claude and ChatGPT

We built a reminder system that takes requests in plain language from inside Claude, ChatGPT, Telegram, or by voice, and keeps every reminder open until someone marks it done.

→ The Challenge

Most reminder tools ask for a form, then send a notification that is gone once it is swiped away. Nothing tells a finished task apart from an ignored one.

Pain Points

  • Capture Takes Too Many Steps: When recording a small promise means opening an app and filling in a form, most small promises never get recorded.
  • Dismissed Means Forgotten: A notification that is swiped away leaves no trace, so nothing tells an ignored reminder apart from a finished one.
  • Assistants Cannot Act: A conversation with an AI assistant surfaces a task, and the person still has to leave the conversation to write it down.

→ Our Solution

We built Remindly, a reminder service with no forms. A person says what to remember, AI works out the what and the when, and the reminder reaches them where they will see it.

We Built

  • Plain-Language Intake: A request like “every weekday at 8:30, remind me to check on open tickets” is turned by AI into a task and a schedule. One-time and repeating reminders work the same way.
  • A Connector for AI Assistants: Remindly is exposed through the Model Context Protocol, so Claude and ChatGPT can set and manage reminders in the middle of a conversation. The same requests work from a Telegram message or by voice.
  • Delivery With One-Tap Actions: Reminders go to phone, email, and Telegram. Each one carries buttons to mark it done or to snooze it for 10 minutes, an hour, a day, until tomorrow morning, or a week.
  • Nothing Closes on Its Own: Every reminder stays open until it is marked done. A digest each morning lists what is due that day and anything that was never acknowledged, so ignored items come back.

Why We Built It

“Nothing gets forgotten. Period.”
